The year 2023 was a great overall year for dancehall music. We saw the rise of many new stars and the re-emergence of legends who has set the trend in dancehall. Both old and new dancehall sounds were lauded worldwide. We also saw the return of dancehall riddims. There was an increase in dancehall events globally.
